The Healthcare Associated Infection Control MSc/Postgraduate Diploma at UCL is a new, distance learning modular course, designed to provide systematic training in the increasingly important area of the control and prevention of Healthcare Associated Infections.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a minimum of a second-class UK Bachelor's degree in biomedical or life sciences or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. In addition, applicants must have an active professional involvement in the control of hospital infections. It is a prerequisite of the programme that all students have regular access to a personal computer and the Internet and have acquired basic skills in their use.

Entry Requirements

Our applicants are usually registered nurses or health care professionals in full or part-time employment with a minimum of two years post-registration experience and access to a clinical microbiology department.
In addition, applicants normally have an Upper Second Class Bachelors degree in a relevant or appropriate subject, or the equivalent from an internationally recognised institution.
We recognise that many people have a wealth of valuable skills and knowledge developed at work or through training. If candidate don't meet the above entry requirements, but believe candidate have the potential to succeed on the MSc Infection Control course, we'll consider candidate's application on its individual merits.
