The online Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies (BAIS) with specialization in applied technology, business, communication liberal arts or public service administration is offered through the University’s Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies, which features programs for adults and working professionals. The Master of Administrative Science (MAS) degree is a 30-credit off- campus program structured to meet the career development needs of adult learners working in administrative and professional positions in the private sector, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations. Its primary purpose is to enhance the administrative and leadership skills of graduates. The MAS is FDU’s largest part-time graduate studies program.
The program is designed to serve primarily in-service students with five or more years of relevant professional work experience. Since the degree program is targeted toward working adults, admission is based on multiple criteria, including the applicant’s career and other accomplishments, personal maturity and evidence of commitment to graduate study and continued professional development. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have a significant record of relevant professional and/or administrative experience.

Entry Requirements

Applicants to Master’s degree must submit official transcripts for a minimum of four years of previous university study.
Transfer and graduate applicants must submit transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.

The Master of Science in Homeland Security (MSHS) program is administered by the School of Administrative Science (SAS) from the Metropolitan Campus and is conducted off-campus (week nights and Saturdays) and online. Both Petrocelli College of Continuing Education and SAS are dedicated to providing experiential learning to adults through non-traditional formats.
The program will focus on practical and theoretical aspects of enforcing and ensuring homeland security and would include areas of specialization. There will also be a strong emphasis on leadership throughout the program.

The 36-credit Master of Sports Administration (MSA) program is a graduate degree that focuses on practical and theoretical aspects of the various components related to the administration and management of sports personnel and facilities, recreation and fitness programs and businesses, health facilities, coaching, and recreational activities in both volunteer and paid positions. There will also be a strong emphasis on leadership throughout the program.

Entry Requirements

This program is designed for highly motivated individuals who have work experience in the areas of sports administration, coaching, and recreation as well as a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Care will be taken to ensure a diversity of philosophies and academic backgrounds in the classes. Students seeking admission to the program will have to submit:
• Completed application
• Transcripts from all previous undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate studies
• A written statement of 1000 words on current job responsibilities, duties, and administration philosophy; and
• Three letters of recommendation including at least two former instructors/ professors.
• A minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average from an accredited undergraduate school program will be required.
